AGRIUM
Agrium is not just a world-wide agricultural product supplier that is focused on creating healthy and sustainable crop fields, but they also donate to certain events, projects, and organizations such as this one. Agrium stands for basic human rights and their motto "respect, protect, and remedy". They are the main sponsor for the provincial environmental contest "Caring for our Watersheds" which the producers won in 2016. This contest enabled us to create this show. We are very gracious for their support in this event. |
CARING FOR OUR WATERSHEDS
This program is an environmental educational competition that encourages creativity and rewards students for the solutions they identify. CARING FOR OUR WATERSHEDS partners with communities to create focused solutions to local watershed issues. Each year they ask student to answer the question "What can you do to improve your watershed?". In 2016, the producers Hunter Watson and Alissa Lee answered this question with "AWARENESS". "Losing Tides" is the result. Without the contest's support, this show would not be occurring. |
YOUTH UNITED WAY
Youth United Way Winnipeg is sponsoring this event through the "Youth United Grants" that are available to all youth in Winnipeg. Leadership is a very important thing to them especially when used to make a difference in our community. They have been supportive and interested in our event from the beginning and we are grateful that they were able to contribute to our event. |
BOSTON PIZZA
Boston Pizza Canada is generously sponsoring our event. They have been involved in the community by donating to charities for over 25 years. A strong role model is a very important image to them so they have partnered with non-profit organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, JDRF, Kids Help Phone, Live Different, and the Rick Hanson Foundation so they can provide great and impactful mentorship to youth all over Canada. |
